Qliphoth

As the Qliphotic counterpart of the tree of Life, the tree of Knowledge and Death represents the mysteries of the Nightside. It functions as a map of the initiations of the soul through trials of Fire - the alchemical journey through the underworld towards the crown of divinity. The myth of Adam and Eve within the garden of Eden describes the process whereby accept- ing the fruits of the tree of knowledge, offered by the mythological serpent (Lilith), man may free himself from the shackles of the earthly enslaver (Maya of the Hindus, or the Gnostic Demiurge) and initiate an ascension towards the original void of limitlessness - the Womb of Drakon.
